It’s been quite some time since I saw you last. Every time you go away, I can’t help but think you may have over stayed your welcome. But, as the spring time comes near and it gets a bit warmer out, I can’t help but think of the Holidays we spent together and how my kids loved playing with you.

During those cold winter days, I loved looking at your glistening body, nearly blinding me with your beauty.

Just when I think we are coming to terms and appreciated one another, you explode with your rage. I’m sorry, but I just can’t handle your chilling anger you always cast down upon us.

Although we have had our fun together, there is another in my life who doesn’t understand why I continue to be with you. She is my love now, my beautiful wife Angella. It’s not that she hates you, but she doesn’t like how you’ve continued to cause me pain. I know, it’s surprising I would publicly reveal our affair… but this needs to be brought out in the open.

Many people believe that these physical affairs tend to work themselves out, but we both know different. You will always come back into my life, each and every year and there is no way I could ever stop you. I’ve thought about moving to the West Coast, but lately, you’ve even been traveling there.

Why, you glistening demon, why you continue to torment me in this way is unknown to me. You touch me gently on my cheek at one moment and, then, you turn around and pummel me with your wrath. Oh how I love you and hate you. How you excite me and anger me simultaneously.

This is a love affair I fear will never end… and it is chilling me to the bone. so… on this Valentine’s Day, 2010… I am finally putting my foot down to tell you… for all the world to see… although at times I love you…
